Best of Reykjavik: A Girls Guide to Design

Ásgeir Fannar Ásgeirsson • Mar 16, 2015
March is a very important month in Iceland for culture and art as we celebrate the best of design from talented Icelandic designers. An event takes place in Reykjavík each year called DesignMarch. This year was the 7th Anniversary of the launch of DesignMarch that took place on March 12th to 15th.

We learn so much about Icelandic design during this great event that includes beautiful architecture, innovative graphic design, creative artwork, functional craftwork plus lots more. Over the duration of DesignMarch, people of Reykjavík have the opportunity to meet these talented designers and take a peek inside the studios of where the ‘magic’ happens.

TIP Never fear, March isn’t the only time to take in Icelandic design. You can visit Reykjavík’s fabulous fashion/design shops, museums, exhibitions, architecture and cafe’s all year round.
